The pool and pomegranate garden of the Grenadine Lodge in Dalyan, set against the hills

Dalyan · Muğla · since 2005

Two generations. One family. A garden full of pomegranate trees.

just be and relax

A family-run boutique hotel inside the Dalyan nature reserve. Since 2005.

Welcome

One family, two cultures, one garden.

Latife and Hamdi Hüner founded Grenadine Lodge in 2005. They planted the first pomegranate tree, prepared the first rooms, served the first breakfasts.

Their daughter Aygül took over in 2008. Born in Switzerland in 1977, she grew up there between two languages, two cultures and two ideas of hospitality. Today she runs the lodge with her husband Ergün — while Latife still bakes her bread in the kitchen and Hamdi still looks after the trees in the garden.

What grew out of it is much more than a hotel: a family home of nineteen rooms where the Swiss sense of order and trust meets Turkish warmth. We never set out to create a concept — we simply did the things we love: planting trees, cooking and looking after people.

Little has changed since. The pomegranate trees have grown, the rooms have multiplied, guests arrive from all over the world. Our way of hosting has stayed the same — which may be why guests here feel like friends arriving at a house they have known for years.

What you feel here is Swiss reliability paired with the warmth of Turkish hospitality. Breakfast is ready. The rooms are cared for. Everything is as it should be — clean, orderly and sincere, with honest prices and promises kept. Hospitality offered from the heart.

And after a few days, most guests say the same thing: “We felt like we were staying in a family home, not just a hotel.”

For families

A house that keeps an eye on the children.

Small enough that the children find their own way around. Quiet enough that parents can finally unwind. Two separate children's pools — one shaded, one shallow for the littlest ones — leave the main pool free for unhurried lengths.

A place for families who love calm holidays: a garden to get pleasantly lost in, hammocks and çardak lounges for the slow hours, and a team that knows the children's names by the second day.

And the four-legged member of the family? Comes along, of course. Dog, cat, bird — whoever is family to you is family to us.

  • Two separate children's pools
  • Quiet, easy-to-navigate garden
  • Family-run, now in its second generation
  • Pets warmly welcome

Yoga since 2008

Yoga, where the orchard begins.

Two studios — the big one eight by twelve metres, with bamboo walls, a rubber floor and an open front onto the garden. English-speaking yoga groups have been coming to us since 2008. Bring your own group — or simply join in.

Kitchen

From the garden. To the plate.

Homemade jams, a mostly vegetarian menu shaped by the season, fresh fish and meat on request — and bread that Latife still bakes herself. Three cooks, one garden, one market next door.

The family

“My father planted the first tree. I plant memories now.”

Aygül Hüner

Aygül has been running the lodge with her husband Ergün since 2008. She knows every pomegranate tree by name — and every returning guest by their favourite fruit at breakfast.
